Black Magick as Revolutionary Action

January 19, 2008

Black Magic as Revolutionary Action PREPARE AN INK OF pure & genuine saffron mixed with rose- water, adding if possible some blood from a black rooster. In a quiet room furnish an altar with a bowl of the ink, a pen with an iron nib, 7 black candles, an incense burner, & some benzoin. The charm may be written on virgin paper or parchment. Draw the diagram at 4 p.m. on a Wednesday, facing North. Copy the 7-headed diagram (see illustration) without lifting the pen from the paper, in one smooth operation, holding your breath & pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth. This is the Barisan Laksamana, or King of the Djinn. Then draw the Solomon’s Seal (a star representing a 5- headed djinn) & other parts of the diagram. Above Solomon’s Seal write the name of the individual or institution to be cursed. Now hold the paper in the benzoin fumes, & invoke the white & black djinn within yourself:

Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim
as-salaam alikum
O White Djinn, Radiance of Mohammad
king of all spirits within me
O Black Djinn, shadow of myself
AWAY, destroy my enemy
–and if you do not
then be considered a traitor to Allah
–by virtue of the charm
La illaha ill’Allah

Mohammad ar-Rasul Allah

If the curse is to be aimed at an individual oppressor, a wax doll may be prepared & the charm inserted (see illustration).

Seven needles are then driven downward into the top of the head, thru the left & right armpits, left & right hips, & thru the lips or nostrils. Wrap the doll in a white shroud & bury it in the ground where the enemy is sure to walk over it, meanwhile enlisting the aid of local earth spirits:

Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim
O Earth Djinn, Dirt-spirit
O Black Djinn living underground
listen, vampire of the soil
I order you to mark & destroy
the body & soul of _____________
Heed my orders
for I am the true & original sorcerer
by virtue of the charm
la illaha ill’Allah

Mohammad ar-Rasul Allah

If however the curse is intended for an institution or company, assemble the following items: a hard-boiled egg, an iron nail, & 3 iron pins (stick nail & needles into egg); dried scorpion, lizard &/or beetles; a small chamois bag containing graveyard dirt, magnetized iron fillings, asafoetida & sulphur, & tied with a red ribbon. Sew the charm into yellow silk & seal it with red wax. Place all these things in a wide-necked bottle, cork it, & seal it with wax.

The bottle may now be carefully packaged & sent by mail to the target institution–for example a Xtian televangelist show, the New York Post, the MUZAK company, a school or college–along with a copy of the following statement (extra copies may be mailed to individual employees, &/or posted surreptitiously around the premises):

Malay Black Djinn Curse

These premises have been cursed by black sorcery. The curse has been activated according to correct rituals. This institution is cursed because it has oppressed the Imagination & defiled the Intellect, degraded the arts toward stupefaction, spiritual slavery, propaganda for State & Capital, puritanical reaction, unjust profits, lies & aesthetic blight. The employees of this institution are now in danger. No ind ividual has been cursed, but the place itself has been infec ted with ill fortune & malignancy. Those who do not wake up & quit, or begin sabotaging the workplace, will gradually fa ll under the effect of this sorcery. Removing or destroying the implement of sorcery will do no good. It has been seen i n this place, & this place is cursed. Reclaim your humanity & revolt in the name of the Imagination– or else be judged (in the mirror of this charm) an enemy of the human race. We suggest “taking credit” for this action in the name of some other offensive cultural institution, such as the American Poetry Society or the Women’s Anti-Porn Crusade (give full address).

We also suggest, in order to counter-balance the effect on yourself of calling up the personal black djinn, that you send a magical blessing to someone or some group you love &/or admire. Do this anonymously, & make the gift beautiful. No precise ritual need be followed, but the imagery should be allowed to spring from the well of consciousness in an intuitive/spontaneous meditational state. Use sweet incense, red & white candles, hard candy, wine, flowers, etc. If possible include real silver, gold, or jewels in the gift.

This how-to-do-it manual on the Malay Black Djinn Curse has been prepared according to authentic & complete ritual by the Cultural Terrorism Committee of the inner Adept Chamber of the HMOCA (“Third Paradise”). We are Nizari-Ismaili Esotericists; that is, Shiite heretics & fanatics who trace our spiritual line to Hassan-i Sabbah through Aladdin Mohammad III “the Madman,” seventh & last Pir of Alamut (& not through the line of the Aga Khans). We espouse radical monism & pure antinomianism, & oppose all forms of law & authority, in the name of Chaos.

At present, for tactical reasons, we do not advocate violence or sorcery against individuals. We call for actions against institutions & ideas–art-sabotage & clandestine propaganda (including ceremonial magic & “tantrik pornography”)–and especially against the poisonous media of the Empire of Lies. The Black Djinn Curse represents only a first step in the campaign of Poetic Terrorism which–we trust–will lead to other less subtle forms of insurrection.

SHAOLIN 18 LOHAN HANDS

Many readers have asked me about the famous Shaolin Eighteen Lohan Hands. They were taught by the great Bodhidharma in 527 BCE to monks at the Shaolin Monastery in China when this First Patriarch of the Shaolin arts found the monks weak and often sleepy during meditaion, which is the essental path towards enlightenment.

The Shaolin Eighteen Lohan Hands are fundamental chi kung exercises that can bring tremendous benefits if they are practised as chi kung. Over the years, I have successfully used selections from the Eighteen Lohan Hands to help many people overcome illness, including so-called incurable diseases.

But if they are practised as physical exercise, which is often the case nowadays, naturally the practitioner will only get the benefits of physical exercise. The crucial difference between chi kung exercise and physical exercise lies not in the outward form (which can be the same for both types of exercise), but in the internal dimensions of energy and mind. If one does not know what these internal dimensions are, it is unlikely that he (or she) has practised chi kung, although he may have performed the outward form for years.

At the Shaolin Monastery, these Eighteen Lohan Hands evolved into a kungfu set called Eighteen Lohan Fist, which forms the prototype of Shaolin Kungfu today. Nevertheless, the Eighteen Lohan Hands continued to be practised as chi kung exercise.

Because of its long history, there are many versions of the Eighteen Lohan Hands being taught today. Shown below are the Eighteen Lohan Hands taught in my Shaolin Wahnam School. The illustrations are reproduced from a manual used more than 10 years ago by my chi kung students.

1. Lifting the Sky
This pattern is also found in many other kinds of chi kung. This is not surprising because “Lifting the Sky” is one of the best of all chi kung exercises.

2. Shooting Arrows

The holding of the hands is in the “One-Finger Zen” hand form, which is a typical Shaolin hand form. If you see someone holding the hand in the from of a fist with one finger sticking out, you can reasonably conclude that he has not learnt it in a proper way from a Shaolin master.

3. Plucking Stars
These illustrations can only show the outward form of chi kung. Once again, I wish to stress that chi kung form alone is not chi kung. Chi kung is the art of energy management, and the form is just a tool or means to implement energy management. If you merely perform chi kung form, you are only doing physical exercise. If you wish to learn energy management, you have to learn from a master or at least a competent instructor, not just from webpages, videos or books.

4. Turning Head
If you think that this exercise is just for loosening your neck muscles, you are thinking of it as a physical exercise. As a chi kung exercise, it is used literally to cleanse your head and nervous system. Of course you have to learn such advanced skills from a chi kung master, not from a physical education instructor.

5. Thrust Punch
Besides developing powerful punches for martial art, this exercise massages and strengthens your heart. Correct breathing and making the appropriate sound are necessary for obtaining the desired effect.

6. Merry-go-Round

If you wish to revitalize yourself without having to take pep pills, this chi kung exercise may help you. It stimulates your “water” energy at your ming-men, or “gate of life”.

7. Carrying the Moon
Many of my students love this exercise the best. It makes you look and feel young, and enhances your nervous system. You can have these benefits only if you can generate a shower of chi or vital energy down your body with this exercise.

8. Nourishing Kidneys
Ask a typical western doctor, and he will tell you that your kidneys have nothing to do with sex. Ask a Chinese physician, and he will tell you that your kidneys have everything to do with sex. In fact, the Chinese medical term generally used to describe sickness related to sex is shen-kui which means “kidney injury”. “Why were the Shaolin monks interested in sex?” you may ask. No, the Shaolin monks did this exercise not because of sex, but because “Nourishing Kidneys” also enhances their intellectual and general vitality.

9. Three Levels to Ground
As a physical exercise, “Three Levels to Ground” can make your legs strong and flexiable; as a chi kung exercise, it can strengthen your heart system, generate better energy flow, and increase your vitality.

10. Dancing Crane
This exercise helps you to channel vital energy to your legs. But the benefits are not just for the legs. As the body is interconnected by countless meridians, inducing better energy flow at the legs is sometimes necessary to solve problems in other parts of the body. Someone with kidney stones or a dull intellect may overcome his problem more efficiently if he incorporates this “Dancing Crane” exercise.

11. Carrying Mountains
If you wish to have powerful arms but do not want to undergo tough and rough conditioning, or if you wish to overcome some chronic pain at your back, “Carying Mountain” is a useful exercise.

12. Drawing Knife
” Qi jing ba mai” or the “eight wondrous meridians” is often mentioned in chi kung texts but seldom understood. “Drawing Knife” is an effective exercise to generate energy flow to these eight wondrous meridians.

13. Presenting Claws
If you suffered from diabetes, had trouble with your digestive system, or often felt worried and anxious, this exercise may overcome your problem.

14. Pushing Mountains
I have never failed to be amazed by the profundity in simplity of this exercise. If you wish to overcome your rheumatism, or to enhance your sex life, or to have internal force for martial art, or to have mental freshness — just to mention a few of its benefits — practise this exercise.

15. Separating Water
This is an excellent exercise for the heart and the lung systems. It will also give you powerful arms.

16. Big Windmill
Many people will find it hard to believe, but if you perform this exercise correctly and sufficiently, you can develop enough internal force to break a brick without having to lift weights or strike sandbags. Those with diabetes or problems related to the liver and spleen systems, will also find this exercise very useful.

17. Deep Knee Bending
Here is another excellent exercise for the lower body. It also opens up the meridians at the legs so that
negative energy from other parts of the body can be efficiently drained out into the ground.

18. Rotating Knees
You may be surprised, but “Rotating Knees” may help to overcome sex problems, or enhance sexual performance and enjoyment. Strong, healthy knees, obviously, ensures that you will still be agile at eighty and beyond.

Unless you are already well versed in chi kung, even if you can perform these eighteen sets of movements correctly but without effecting the internal dimensions of mind and energy, you will only get the benefits of physical exercise. The illustrations, therefore, are not meant for self practice, but for satisfying curiosity, and perhaps as a means for preserving for future generations what the Shaolin Eighteen Lohan Hands look like.

You will be mistaken if you think that the mind and energy dimensions are not explained here because I want to keep them as secrets. Even if I explain them here, many people may not believe the explanation. Even if they beleive it and follow the instructions, they may not get the desired result. Worse still, and this is a main reason why many masters “keep the secrets”, practising advanced chi kung without a master’s supervision may bring serious adverse effects.

You will appreciate the warning better if you remember that what is involved is mind and energy, the two most powerful things in the world. As an anology, learning how to swim or drive a car is safe with proper supervision. But one would not, and should not, go swimming or driving merely after reading some swimming or driving instructions.

Nihon no Kuromajutsu: Japanese Black Magick

Nihon no Kuromajutsu: Japanese Black Magic

By Adept Wild and Mariko (1995)

Exploring Japanese Black Magic.

Pyo (hand sign of the great diamond) The physical imitation of the diamond, symbol of the power of knowledge which transcends the worldly limitations, the (sign) is used to inspire personal power through the channelling of energy to the appropriate area of consciousness for the purpose at hand” Hayes: Ninja: Warrior Ways of Enlightenment. 1981.

Recently, I had the opportunity to question Mariko, a Japanese Setian about the Black Magic of her parent culture. I found the dialogue fascinating.

“This is an area ignored by most because of false assumptions that Asian magical and religious systems are all Right-Hand Path based. This is due to the unfortunate tendency of Western anthropologists and magicians to insist on projecting their own cultural biases in publishing scholarly papers on Japanese traditions.”

“A recent readers’ column in a Japanese occult magazine contained a letter from a reader who wanted to know how he can obtain a copy of the _Holy Bible_, as he was told by a friend that one can only purchase them from a Christian church and there was not one within a reasonable traveling distance. The editor’s response was “you should be able to special order it from your local bookstore.” This would be unheard of in Australia or the United States; where there are as many churches as MacDonald’s restaurants.” Christian missionaries were severly frowned upon in their early contact with Japanese society. Some enterprising public servant thought up a good way to weed out closet Christians by creating sculptures of the cross to stamp on. Some in museums are very worn.

Although Mariko now lives in the United States, she has regular contact with Setians in Japan. “There was also a little known LHP group known as the Blue Wolves, who practice a syncretic LHP system based on British and Germanic traditions, The head of this group published an introductory book on Black Magic in 1989 in Japanese, in which the Temple of Set and Dr. Aquino are briefly mentioned. The copy I have is 12th printing, published in 1992, so the group may not be around anymore. The “Blue Wolves” (or “Seirodan” in Japanese) book on Black Magic was written by Nagare Chiaki. According to his biography, he was born in 1933 — that makes him 64 years old. He was born in Tokyo, attended Tokyo University, worked as a writer and copy editor, studied astrology at Cambridge University, and has published numerous books. This one seems to be the only one on Black Magic, however. The Publisher is Futami (Tokyo).” (see picture of Kuromajutsu below).

“In the wake of the Aum Shinrikyo subway gas incident, the negative publicity thrown onto “cults” has made it difficult for many groups, I am told.” There are right-hand path groups, such as the OTO, Golden Dawn, and IOT initiates in Tokyo, and the Left-Hand Path is gradually becoming better represented.

“The LHP tradition is hidden in Japan. Dr. Stephen E. Flowers has a section in _The Lords of the Left-Hand Path_ pertaining to esoteric LHP Buddhist traditions. I consider esoteric teachings of Old Shinto to be LHP as well. Not much of it has been published, let alone translated into English, but the teachings are alive in some martial arts traditions. For instance, Ueshiba Morihei (in Japanese, last name is first, followed by first name), the renowned Aikido practitioner, based his system on esoteric Shinto teachings. In addition, Ninjutsu, in my opinion, is *the* school for LHP practitioners, incorporating extensive Lesser Black Magic and Greater Black Magic training. The particular school Bujinkan (literal translation: Hall of the Warrior Gods) is currently headed by Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, 34th Grandmaster of the Togakure-ryu (literal translation: Hidden Door). _Mind of the Ninja_ by Kirtland C. Peterson is a good open source to glean some aspects of this, although his book emphasizes mikkyo (esoteric Buddhism).”

Another Setian Black Magician who is practicing Ninjutsu emphasized to me that although Ninjutsu may have it’s Left- Hand Path aspects, most practitioners would probably use such comments as a good excuse to use such a speaker as a “practice-dummy”!

That said, one Ninja theorist, Peterson (1986: 211) writes that “regardless of which way you turn, the Ninja represent the Devil incarnate” – and further, that the Devil “also has many positive attributes” – this puts the Ninja firmly in the antinomian field. There is an intruiging chapter on Ninja magic in Turnbull’s “Ninja” (1992). He mentions magical transformations, learning magic from spiders and the connections of ninja with the tengu – mythological crows. Another ninja magical techniques is the nine kuji-in hand postures with their related mantras and concepts.

As for other Asian magical traditions, says Mariko, if you track the development of various martial arts systems (or fine arts such as calligraphy or dance), you will inevitably run into esoteric traditions or secret societies tied into them. This is because most of the martial arts were, at one time or another, suppressed, and even modern practices of certain arts are considered antinomian. The excerpt of the Triad initiation ceremony in Peter Houston’s _Tongs, Gangs, and Triads_ is worth mentioning for historical purposes. It recites the 18 military arts developed at the Shao Lin Temple and their correlating weapons. In much of the USA, and Australia mere possession of most of those weapons are illegal, although it is said you can purchase them in Chinatown. Mariko asked me to stress that neither she nor the Temple of Set endorses the aquisition of banned weapons.

Another tradition adaptable to Left-Hand Path ideas is Butoh: probably one of the most antinomian dance expression existing in Japan today. The literal translation of the art form is “Dark World Dance Steps”.

Mariko sees similarities in Japanese magical systems with black magical systems such as the Runes. “Where the runic tradition meets Old Shinto is most interesting. There is a English publication called _The Essence of Aikido: Spiritual Teachings of Morihei Ueshiba_ compiled by John Stevens. Ueshiba is of course, the reknowned founder of Aikido, which is basically a martial art form embodying some principles of Shinto. Those who have studied the runes would immediately recognize the galdr and the way the teachings are presented in doka or waka, the Japanese equivalent of rune poems. Aikido has an advantage for the English speaking magical researcher as more information is available regarding Aikido in English.

There is Black Magic in Japan, and seekers such as Mariko are bringing these traditions to life. One of the main benefits of doing so is overthrowing the silly idea that Asian philosophies are not self-conscious, or all emphasise denial or disintegration of the self. This is far from true. The discerning magician may find many tools in Japanese magic to aid in the Quest, whether it be the arts of invisibility, dance, combat, stealth, transformation and antinomianism.
